Spread over 754 sq. km and situated above 1500 metres from the sea level, Great Himalayan National Park is famous for the scenic beauty of the Oak and Deodar forests. The national park is surrounded by Himalayan peaks, and houses diversified wildlife including over 400 species of beasts and 181 types of birds. There are several villages situated inside the national park, and every village has its own culture, with some fairs during April to September.

Situated at 14 kilometres from the town of Manali, this valley is one of the most preferred destinations by tourists.
