Thottikallu falls a stunningly beautiful place filled with some of the most charming locals I’ve met on my travels. Upon landing in to the most serendipity in the morning recommended as an uneconomical and easy way to get around),  breathing in the fresh cool breeze, enjoying the lingering sensation of saltiness and heat infused with the sweetness of the morning. I ambled along the mountain path. An unusual humming sound vibrated in the air. It sounded like a swarm of bees. The sound of Joy, an amusement to eyes, a visual treat was awaiting for my arrival. Then the buzzing transferred to the rock beneath my feet flowing the purist form of water edges were hemmed with whipped-white lines. The water flowed so gentle and smoothly on the green bed as the pure milk flows so rich from the rocky ledge in to a plunge pool.

Thottikallu falls is a place near Kaggalipura off beat Kanakapura main road around 35 kms from Bangalore City.

ThottiKallu is a place of rejuvenation popularly known as Thottikallu falls. In local this falls is also known as “Swarna Mukhi” which means golden faced falls. The best time to visit this falls is during the cool monsoon as the rhythm of rain flows that would add ornamental beauty to this place. Cascading from the height of 30 to 40ft it is a treat to watch. While water gushes through a gorge along the valley, it falls proportionately on the rocks where the water trips downward however, one must go deep in to the forest to find it. Sitting on the wet rocks is a perfect way to beat the sweltering heat and boredom, As TK Falls is located inside a deemed thick forest area it is also a trekkers spot. many trekkers also take a shower under the splendid waterfalls. For people who are opting to trek to the falls, you will come across a hill on your path. Where one can  inhale the scenic view of the waterfalls, forests and fall in the tranquility of nature.
