Photography is the art of capturing moments that are gone from our lives forever and converting them into beautiful souvenirs in the form of photos that we have the luxury to look at whenever our heart desires.

First coined by a British scientist ‘Sir John Herschel‘ in 1830, the word photography comes from two Greek words Phos, and Graphé. While the former means ‘light’ the latter means ‘drawing’ hence the literal meaning of Photography is ‘drawing with light’. Being one of the greatest inventions of the nineteenth century, Photography was quite popular amongst the aristocratic society of that time. It initially started with individual portraits and family photos of royalties. Gradually with the advent of mass media journalists started covering many important events especially wars through photography. Today it has taken the shape of a craft to express one’s emotion or share something beautiful at the same time very unusual with the spectators. Today the passion for travelling and the craze of social media have urged many people to take photography as a hobby.
