One will be mesmerized by the beauty of the place. However, nothing can be more satisfying other than having a meal while enjoying the views of tranquil beaches. A beautiful leisure destination along with delectable food, Goa makes a perfect choice for travel enthusiasts.

Goa is all about sun, sea, sand and seafood. The Goan cuisine has a culinary tradition as it is largely adapted from the Saraswat Brahmins society and the Portuguese people who resided in Goa a long time back. Apart from their staple food fish curry and rice, other items incorporated in the cuisine are seafood, coconut, vegetables, meat, pork and local produce spices. Other than these Kokum (a spice) and coconut vinegar is used free handed in the goa food which is said to be introduced by the Portuguese. Local food of a particular destination is the key factor to make a trip memorable and Goa has always proven to be the treasure when we talk about food. An enormous platter of mouth-watering seafood dishes of Goa is enough to tickle your taste buds. One will always find a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Some of the luxury restaurants are also offering international cuisine to travellers. With such a diverse culinary a traveller will be spoilt by the choices. Some of the dishes which epitomize the Goan cuisine are- Goan Fish Cury, Goan Pork Vindaloo, Feijoada, Prawns Xeque Xeque, Crab Xacuti, Ambot tik, Goa Red Rice, Kingfish, Sorpotel to name a few. Spending your entire day shopping in the flee markets and ending it with a plate full of lip-smacking street food is worth it. There are several food stalls to make a choice but one can always start with a famous beetroot Samosa, Missal pav and can go on to Frankies, Croquettes but not to miss Gadbad ice cream- which is an interesting combination of a variety of ice cream flavours and dry fruits.

Once you have satiated your hunger, relish a glass of Goan Feni, a local goa delight. Available in two different tastes cashew and coconut, one will completely fall in love with its peculiar taste. It’s an absolute marvel to find the taste of this drink as fruity as since last hundred of years. With so much to offer to its travellers, Goa should be the foremost destination on everybody’s bucket list.
